Step 7 - Hotel Openings
Invariably the Reception Desk, the hub of all hotel services is the last area to be completed. Once the equipment is installed the final phase of testing will commence to ensure, that all guest service buttons are operational, messaging and wake-up are working and correctly configured.
HTM will finalise the last changes and complete the documentation on the last day. It includes all cabinet schematics, patch panel lay-outs and conference room or other area schematics (i.e. showing outlet numbers) plus telephone system and HSIA configurations and topologies.
Step 8 - Refresher Training/Review
One or two weeks after opening (we hope after the dust has settled), a member of the training or project team will review the project with you. Our trainer will re-visit some of the key areas and action points from steps 5 to 7. They will review all aspects of each of the systems, the telephone set up and organise any required changes (usually via an engineer working remotely) and re-label as necessary.
HTM understand that an opening team may be specially chosen for their skills and are often then re-assigned to new projects or hotels. At this point, HTM will provide additional staff training, which will be provided free of charge should your hotel be located within the M25. Should your hotel be located outside this area, HTM asks for a nominal contribution to cover our expenses. HTM feel it is important that your guests do not suffer when key staff leave and take their site systems knowledge with them.
