New 203 bedroom Jurys Inn Gateshead opens with a Mitel Networks and Hotel Telephone Maintenance Limited tried and trusted solution including a Wi-Fi-only solution for Guest High Speed Internet Access
August 25th 2011, Hotel Telephone Maintenance Limited is proud to be associated with the latest Jurys Inn opening in Gateshead. It is proudly located on South Shore Road - voted the Hippest Street in the UK in Google's Best Street Competition. It is perfectly located beside the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Arts, a 20 minute walk from the Metro Radio Arena and a 1 minute walk from the Sage, the Millennium Bridge and Quayside. The hotel offers stylish rooms, some with river views, plus a riverside restaurant and bar, complete with a terrace for summer days.
The solution installed by Hotel Telephone Maintenance Limited (HTM), a UK and Ireland specialist hospitality communications and telecommunications services company, included a fully integrated Guest High Speed Internet Solution and Mitel 3300 ICP, fully integrated multiple technology solution.
The new build hotel needed a communications solution that would not only fulfil its current operational needs but also be one upon which to build for the future. It would fit the company’s image and offer an enhanced guest experience. Jurys chose a unified communications solution using the Mitel 3300 IP Communications Platform (ICP) at its core, a proven and scalable platform which provides communications to both administrative and guestroom operations.
The Meteor Call Accounting, Messaging and Voicemail System specified and provided by HTM is the latest Imaginesoft solution. It offers hotel staff a simple web interface access system to access reports, change billing tariffs and use other features of the system. Meteor has the advantage of being flexible and offers other features and benefits, including the opportunity to interface multiple services billing to the Property Management System (PMS).
Instead of installing Wired and Wireless High Speed Internet Access (HSIA) a decision was made to install a Wi-Fi- only solution for guests, using the latest ANTlabs and Zyxel technologies. The technologies deployed will fulfil the requirements of the most demanding guest or meeting room user as considerable care was taken to ensure excellent Wi-Fi coverage is available throughout the guest rooms and common areas. The latest ANTlabs solution was specified by HTM because of its reliability, easy-to-use guest plug-and-play (PNP) Internet-based service and its compatibility with the latest mobile phone, Notebook, Apple iPhone, iPad and other devices.
Each of the 203 guest bedrooms are equipped with latest 3300 model telephones from TeleMatrix, whilst hotel administration benefit from the latest feature-rich Mitel 5212 and Mitel 5312 and 5324 telephones.
